Nieuw Bericht

Hey Everyone, Happy Memorial Day, and Happy 7th Anniversary to the Doc and I. We are celebrating down in Aruba with my parents who will mark their 40th!!!! Anniversary in June. We totally surprised them, they had absolutely no idea we were coming. I told them I would drive them to the airport on Saturday morning. They drove to our house and when they pulled into the driveway, we came out with our suitcases! They still did not get it. They thought we were sending things down for them to bring to our house. When light dawned, my mother was ecstatic.

This is great timing for my mother. She lost one of her best friends to breast cancer last week. It was an awful battle that lasted two years. Lillian was diagnosed when tissue from an elective breast reduction revealed the disease. Soon after, her liver function tests revealed that it was in her liver. It was then found in her bones and then her brain. She valiantly fought until they told her that nothing more could be done for her. After stopping chemo, she was gone within one month. She was so full of love and life. Lillian will be greatly missed.

As for the title of my post, I think it means "New Post" in Dutch. Everything on the page is written in Dutch, hopefully you all can read this in English (if I even have any readers!)

Gotta make sure Madigan is doing all right watching Blue's Clues in Spanish! We are a multi-lingual house right now! Have a wonderful day, and as Lisagh points out, please remember those who have served and those who are serving now to protect our way of life. Happy Memorial Day.

Boring, Boring, Boring

Hi Everyone, sorry I have not posted anything in a week. Nothing to report around here. We are about to switch our practice managent system at the office. That has been giving me headaches on a daily basis. We don't exactly have a computer literate staff, so I think we are in for some fireworks.

On the shopping front, I am considering ordering this Lilly Pulitzer dress from Garnett Hill for Madigan. It is $20 off the regular price. Then I remember how many things she already has that are either new with tags or in excellent condition. Not to mention she is starting to wrinkle her nose at some of my selections. I find the best tactic is to distract her then just throw on my wardrobe choice for her while she is glued to The Mickey Mouse Club House. You gotta do what you gotta do!

Great Things Come in Small Packages!

Don't we all just love when there is something special in our mailboxes? Yesterday, I got this great package from SweetSparrow Sarah. I found her through Chloe's blog. Sarah is great to work with. She is helpful and gets right back to you. She worked with me to customize my key fob. I like to be able to put it around my wrist so as to not lock myself out of the SUV! She helped me coordinate the look and I think it came out great! The headband is very soft on the spot just above the ears, so I think I can actually make it through the entire day wearing it! Go check out her designs and products. Don't be shy about asking her to customize something just for you. Sarah is a doll!

WARNING...THIS IS NOT A TEST

If you live in the Boston Area, get outside. Feel the sun shining down on you. Smell the tulips and hyacinths around you. Look up to see a gorgeous blue sky. This is real folks, it is a top ten day out there. Offer to bring the mail out and take a twenty minute walk, you MUST go outside today! We've waited long enough.
